Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour | Cape Town
South Africa’s ‘Mother City’ Cape Town, located at the southern tip of the continent, enjoys a unique setting.
Cape Town city occupies the northern part of the Cape Peninsula, a 54km-long (34-mile) scenic finger of land that ends dramatically in the towering headland known as Cape Point. There are powerful attractions that make Cape Town a destination of choice; a near perfect Mediterranean climate, landscapes that delight the eye, spectacular beaches, the grandeur of Table Mountain, the exhilarating Waterfront development (with SA’s number one attraction the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront). Fine hotels, a myriad of eating and drinking places, a lively and entertaining calendar of arts, and enchanting Winelands and mountain hinterlands.
The Cape Peninsula stretching from Signal Hill to Cape Point, including Table Mountain, was declared a national park in May 1998. The Table Mountain National Park covers approximately 30,000ha (74,000 acres) and contains within its protectorate thousands of animal and plant species, including fynbos of the unique Cape Floral Kingdom, and is a World Heritage Site.
Travel along the spectacular coastline of the Peninsula through charming historical villages. Visit the mythical meeting place of the two great oceans and experience the “Fairest Cape of all”.
